Crama de Piatra Winery
Crama de Piatra
Crama de Piatra is a boutique wine estate in Vadu Sapat, in the heart of Dealu Mare. Its story is centred around a remarkable stone cellar built in 1912 by Italian craftsmen from local limestone and carefully restored by the Sandu family after taking over the property in 2018.
The estate cultivates around 6 hectares of old vines, some between 40 and 85 years of age. Feteasca Neagra, Feteasca Alba, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon form the core of a small-scale production focused on limited batches and a traditional approach to winemaking.
Beyond wine, Crama de Piatra combines its historic cellar with an intimate hospitality experience. Tastings, cellar visits, accommodation and views across the surrounding Dealu Mare hills make the estate a distinctive destination for travellers wishing to discover the region at a slower pace.
